OBA Global Citizens - FarmFood4All Project Receives Accreditation from EIT Food, Gains Access to the EIT Label.

The FarmFood4All Green Business Development Training Programme, a flagship initiative of OBA Global Citizens Limited, has received official accreditation from the European Institute for Innovation and Technology EIT Food, granting the programme access to the prestigious EIT Label.

This accreditation recognizes the programme’s quality, innovation, and impact in advancing sustainable agri-food systems, youth entrepreneurship, and circular economy solutions within the food sector.

Through this EIT Food–accredited programme, FarmFood4All aims to train 5,000 young Nigerians in the production of organic fertilizer from food and agricultural waste, transforming waste streams into valuable inputs that improve soil health, reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

The training programme is designed to equip young people with practical, market-ready skills covering:

  • Collection and management of food and organic waste
  • Organic fertilizer and compost production techniques
  • Quality control and safety standards
  • Green business development and entrepreneurship
  • Market access, distribution, and value chain integration
  • Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles

By converting food waste into organic fertilizer, the programme supports regenerative agriculture, reduces environmental pollution, and contributes to climate mitigation and adaptation, while creating green jobs and enterprise opportunities for young Nigerians.

Access to the EIT Label strengthens the programme’s credibility and positions FarmFood4All within the European innovation ecosystem, enabling collaboration with research institutions, investors, startups, policymakers, and development partners committed to sustainable food systems.

According to the CEO, Oluwafemi Omosuyi, the milestone reinforces its commitment to building inclusive, climate-smart, and circular agri-food economies that empower youth, support smallholder farmers, and advance national and global sustainability goals.

The FarmFood4All Green Business Development Training Programme aligns with Nigeria’s food security priorities, youth employment agenda, and international commitments on climate action, waste reduction, and sustainable development.
